Community and Social Plan
Bogan Shire Council Community Plan - Published: 13 Jul 2004
In accordance with the Local Government (General) Amendment (Community and Social Plans) Regulations 1998, Council has developed a Community Plan.
The Community Plan assists Council:
- To develop an understanding of the needs of the community including those more disadvantaged members.
- To identify appropriate strategies to respond to these needs.
- To identify the services, facilities and processes required to address the community's needs.
- To identify which services Council should have a role in funding or providing.
- To advocate for those services that need to be provided either by other spheres of government, the private sector or community organisations.
- To monitor changes in community needs and the extent to which existing services and models meet these needs.
Council is currently in the process of community consultation and review of the Community Social plan that was adopted in 2005. A copy of the 2005 Community and Social plan is available for download from this website.
